Two Canadians company visited Investment Authority Kirkuk
In a series of visits which brings in the form of investment in Kirkuk, a delegation from my anguish and Health Group of Companies IDCC Alkndietan visit the Body Building on 8/12/2009 for the purpose of reviewing and discussing in the investment sector and access to opportunities available in the city for investment by them in the field of health and other public services, stressed Mr. (Falah Al-Bazzaz), Chairman of the Board who was to receive the guests said, that those sectors are considered the most important aspects of life in the city and pay attention to them specifically and delivery of projects relevant to those areas. . During the visit has been put forward many ideas and projects to ensure the development of those sectors in Kirkuk, according to the latest and most appropriate means and methods developed at the close of the meeting the parties reach and follow-up research projects relevant area health services and how to take advantage of the expertise and the local workforce in order to fight unemployment and recession prevailing in the city.
One of the Canadian delegations ended its visit to Basra, which was for the purpose of investment, by visiting the governor of Basra, Dr. Sheltag Abboud, to talk about the most important agreements that have been reached after the discussions of the projects that the Canadian company plans to start in Basra in the coming period.
The governor welcomed the visit and said " Basra is now the focus of attention of the world capital for most countries are going along a severe financial crisis, so it is possible that Basra provides a successful investment opportunity at the present time"; adding that " The fields selected by the Canadian company are needed greatly in Basra and as for us, we will try to do our best for the success of the plans related to these projects".
For his part, the head of the Canadian delegation, which included various international companies, Mr. Richard Duffy said that " The companies that came to Basra are ready to start working after three months", adding that " We will approach the Canadian government so as to support investment in Basra"; he said " Our will for investment came through the chairman of BIC, Dr. Haider Ali".
The Canadian companies have presented several projects, among them are ( A project in the Communications Sector by using Fiber- Optics and a project for providing 50 M.W. of electrical power in Iraq by transforming the street lighting from the general network into solar cells, in addition to a project for constructing 500 housing units for the staff of the General Company for Iraqi Ports).
The Canadian delegations are still continuing to visit Basra where BIC receives companies operating in various disciplines, the latest was a visit for a delegation from ALTUS Company which operates in the field of oil.
Through the cooperation made by BIC, the delegation visited Basra Oil Products Distribution Company to identify their needs of reservoirs, pipes network and warehouses. The representative of the Oil Products Company said that " We are in need for warehouses of a billion liters capacity equipped with all modern control techniques because most old warehouses do not commensurate with the required development campaign in the oil discipline in the coming period".
After that, the Canadian delegation visited South Oil Company SOC and met the chief engineer Hayan Abdul- Zahra as the representative of the company. South Oil Company has provided the important information and the basic requirements that would allow ALTUS Company to enter and work in this discipline including providing SOC with giant oil warehouses and pipelines.
The two sides appreciated the role of BIC represented by the coordination between the international and the local companies that need to develop performance and achievement similar to what has been found outside Iraq.
